Some Thanksgiving Ideas I found on Pinterest

4 Creative Thanksgiving Activities:

1. Tell a Story
Children love stories. Take advantage of their natural interest by telling a story (perhaps about a Thanksgiving from your childhood) that will reinforce the importance of showing genuine gratitude. Stories of God’s faithfulness (and your thankfulness) can encourage kids to do the same!

2. Act it Out
Read about the plight of ten lepers who came to Jesus (Luke 17:11-19). Reinforce to the children that Christ praised the one person who returned to thank Him.

3. Make a “Blessing Basket”
Place a pencil and pad of paper inside a fall basket. Encourage kids to jot down ways God has blessed them. Younger children can draw or cut pictures from magazines. Read these blessings aloud and thank God together.

4. Count Your Blessings
Adopt this tradition suggested by Dr. James Dobson. Place several kernels of corn at each plate. At the start of the meal, drop the kernels in a basket as you each give thanks for God’s goodness in the previous year—one word of thanksgiving for each kernel. Candy corn works well for this, too!

May God shower you and your family with His richest blessings this Thanksgiving!

My Chevron Stitch Blanket

Good Morning...... πŸ˜ƒ

Just a quick update on my progress, sharing a few pictures of the blanket. I've really been enjoying this new blanket, it's coming along pretty quick. I was hoping I would have it done already, since it's only a throw, but, I haven't had a chance to crochet every day. I am able to work at it after work and on Saturday. Overall I'm satisfied with it, except for the edges....for some reason they always look the worse, and I have to try to cover it up with the edging rows....will see how I do with this one.

Well, here are the pictures, I hope you have an awesome day and God Bless.

Blog Update

Hello Everybody 😁😁😁

Just a few lines to update you on how I'm doing. I've been very busy with life.... Church -Work -Family....etc. just been enjoying what the Lord has blessed us with, the Good and the Bad.

I realize I've neglected my Blog & YouTube channel, but I really needed to take time off, I realize I have very addictive tendencies with my crafts. I can get a little obsessive over them, and loose focus on "real world". I cannot let them take over my life when they truly are not a priority in my life, that are there to bring me joy, not to be "work".
So, I intend to start posting more on my blog, but they will be posts of my life, a big chunk of spiritual growth with a little dash of my creative side. I just bought a blogger app that will help me post here with my I-pad instead of having to pull out my computer.....this will allow me to make quick posts on the run. Well, these are my intentions and I pray I can keep them.
For now I leave you with a picture of the new blanket I'm crocheting for my husband.

Thanks to all my bloggie followers for all you sweet comments.

Crochet Photos

Hi Ladies,
Sorry about my previous post...I was unable to add my pictures, I was doing the blog from my I-pad and for some reason it wouldn't let me do it.  Here the are thou, I hope you enjoy them.

After finishing up my husband's blanket for Christmas 2011 ( I don't have a picture for that, but you will get a glimps from one of my other pictures......) I started watching more crocheting Youtube videos, I was already subscribe to some channels.....mikeyssmail and tjw1963...they are both awesome, the pattern for my husband's blanket if from mikey he calls it the wavy blanket.  So, as you all know, when you start watching youtube videos or learn of a new technique or pattern, you just go crazy and start looking and searching for other videos (maybe just me).  It really awakened that love I've always had for crocheting, I guess because I always remember my granmother and all the happy memories attached to the craft she passed on to me.   Ok so I found the most awsomest post for a crochet purse...here is the inspiration picture

Isn't it awesome....so pretty.  This is from ( melador1 ) on Youtube... she has the most awesome tutorials.  I started the purse so here is where I am...  ( you can see me husband's blanket on this picture ).

Here is a close up of the flowers.

At the same time I started crocheting a baby blanket for my co-worker, she had a beautiful baby gir.  I chained 100 and I just did a simple half double crochet.

I did the edge with some pompom yarn, and added some cute hearts.
I pray you all are doing great and you get a little inspired to do a craft that is soooo enjoyable. Crocheting !!

Be blessed,
Norma

Hellooooooo !

Hi ladies, I know it's been a looking time, since my last post. Just been enjoying God's mercy and his patience with me. Living up to holy life has never been harder, but with his grace we can conquer all. Let me share with you my first "craft" love....crocheting, yup that's right....I'm a hooker.....TeeHee. I learned how to crochet when I visited my grandma in Mexico as a child, I was probably around 10 yrs old. Since day one, I was hooked....TeeHee. I've loved this craft so much and I am so pleased to announce that my girls are loving it too, especially my oldest daughter...she even reads patterns, which I had always struggled with, till recently, thanks to her. Here are a few pictures of my creations, I will be sharing some more in the near future. Thanks for letting me share my passions with you. Love ya !

What I've been up to

Hi ladies, just a quick update....I haven't been scapbooking much, just focusing on family and church.  I've had a very tight schedule as of now because we've been practicing for our Easter play.  So, till then I hope to at least burden you with a few lines once a week or so to update you on what's been going on with "Holy" TeeHee.   For now if you haven't notice yet, there is a new button on my blog, I've been browsing the Pinterest Site, and to tell you the truth, it's a bit overwhelming...still trying to figure it out, but having fun doing so.  If your interested in it, click on the "Follow me" button, to get an invite, I think that's how it works, TeeHee.
Goodbye for now, and be blessed.
